Purchased first one just before Thanksgiving and the second one at the beginning of February - both from Beach Camera. Good luck!!

Canon cant fix them and they wont replace them either. For full disclosure I am one of the many who have a 70D with the focus problem. To the OP. I wouldn't get in a hurry waiting for a fix from canon. The 1D mark iii had focus issues for 2 years and 2 recalls before canon even admitted there was a problem.

I am also having issues with my photos looking fuzzy. I purchased my 6D Mark II at B&H in New York City. I am very disappointed in Canon and wish they would issue a recall on this model. Have you tried to contact Canon or B&H about your issue? Note: EOS Webcam Utility is currently in beta and Canon is working on bringing support for more Canon EOS camera models as the software continues to develop. If your camera supports the ‘EOS Utility’ software by Canon, it’ll most likely get support for ‘EOS Webcam Utility’ as well. Download EOS Webcam Utility Used a 5Dmk111 and a Canon EF 24-70 F2.8 mk11. A lot of my shots were at 24-30mm @ f2.8 or f3.2 and a large proportion of these were out of focus. The chosen focus point was in centre but the focus in the shots was at extreme left or right! I used the same camera body with a 70-200 F2.8 L without trouble. This is the EXACT same problem I am having with my new Canon 6D Mark II camera. I never had this issue with my Canon 6D camera, therefore, the issue is not the lenses I am using because I tried using 3 different lenses and, unfortunately, had the same result -- fuzzy-looking photos. 😞 . Would this be a camera defect? I always worked with Nikon with no problem. Then I decided to give Canon a try and bought recently a Canon 6D Mark II. Honestly, I'm SO disappointed. The camera doesn't focus well at all, I'm working with a Canon 50mm 1.8 lens and I simply loose lots of photos which never happened to me with Nikon. 1.Try a lens with a smaller maximum aperture, because they tend to be sharper in the corners. 2.Use a
Most instruction manuals and 'how-to' books recommend using a dummy target the same distance as you plan to stand from the camera. You can either use AF (autofocus) to focus on it and then set the lens' switch to MF (manual focus) or set focus mode to MF and use the dummy target to manually focus on the spot you intend to stand.
In response to Tronhard. Options. 11-17-2022 07:06 PM. Hello - I've also got awful focusing issues on my R5 using firmware 1.6.0. I hadn't updated at all until this year when I went from 1.1 to 1.5, then 1.6.0. I had no issues with focusing until I updated. I have the most issues when using video (I mostly use the RF 70-200mm 2.8).
That's horrible! At some point Canon is going to have to acknowledge this issue and do something about it. Or, they will run the risk of receiving

"What the 6D Mark II is, though, is a solid, well-built camera that is capable of producing great images while improving upon its predecessor in almost every measurable way". The negativity centers around a decision Canon seems to have made that prioritizes resolution and liveview AF, over increasing the DR.
