Class participation is a good indicator, but alone is not sufficient. Cuz sometimes you may enter in popularity contest, where it maybe popular cuz average Joe thinks its cool versus effective. Same also regarding class winning percentage, where class cuteness and perception of it being strong can easily skew the data.
I donโ€™t think a lot of buttons suddenly makes a class complex for pve. I think itโ€™s more how you understand the class. Axe mirage is arguably considered the most difficult class to play in this game for pve
There was just a balance patch, so the meta is going to be shifting, but the perennial favorites are Guardian, Revenant, Engineer, Ranger, and Mesmer. Rising stars are Warrior, Thief, and Necromancer. Elementalist bounces between top of the pack and floor tanking depending on the patch, weather, and player skill. 1.

Started with Warrior main in 2012 but swapped to Guardian after 4-5 months and mained Guardian until HoT. This video is alright but from my experience players aren't concerned with which stats or build or class they should be running (most of them want to decide that on their own), but rather they want a reliable way of gearing up to full exotic. While dungeons covers that for armor, they don't help with trinkets which amount for around 40% of the
Fair warning: Tanking in Guild Wars 2, for the handful of raid encounters that have it as a mechanic, isn't based on facetanking the boss with the force of sheer numbers behind you. It's based on skilfully timing your defensive abilities to negate/avoid the big damage blows that come your way.

Too bad that the damage doesnt matter. The datas are not the same to generate the 2 graphs and the table. The 2 graphs are made using all data, including all the multiple selection answers. The table does not include multiple selection answers, because when you have someone that says he will play 3 classes and 2 races, you cannot know which goes with which.
Revenant is more of a cross between a Death knight, a monk and a Demon hunter. (in gameplay and theme). Because it channels/invokes legends of the past (characters from Gw1) and draw it's power from them. It's a more "spiritual" class. It doesn't feel like a death knight, it feels like a Warrior monk.
