Maybe its losing connection during the exercise, so it's just showing you the less accurate watch HR data, and grabs the chest strap data at the end of the exercise to link together when you view the workout in the app. It says the chest strap is connected. During exercise it just shows some random low heart rate.
Press and hold the "Light" button for at least 25 seconds. The watch will probably switch off before the 25 seconds. I keep holding the button. Then press and hold…. Same problem for me. Garmin F5 sapphire. I often have days of missing HR data. Other things sync in GC but hr is first to get dropped. I often have red exclamation next to watch
I had similar issue although my the max heart rate was correctly calculated at 170 (220-50) but I also did a ride where it went up to 175 (recorded as the max heart rate for the ride) but the max heart rate did not automatically adjust but stayed at 175. Watch is on my left arm, but I have a two handed backhand. I have moved it up an inch. Problem is I never had this issue on the Fenix. And even on the Epix it’s erratic. Eg last week I did a tennis session with an average of 135, and then a few days ago the average was 95, even though I was working just as hard.
The Garmin HRM-Pro is a chest-worn heart rate monitor equipped with additional sensors that record your movement patterns. The monitor itself, which sits on the center of your chest, is about 2 inches long, 1 inch wide, and projects about a quarter inch. Unlike other monitors that snap on and off a band, this one is fused to a cloth elastic band.
Garmin Fenix 5: 165/164: 78/79: 122/121: 1: Garmin Forerunner 35: 166/165: 77/79: 101/101: 1: including the Forerunner 35 and the Fenix 5, accurately tracked my heart rate during workouts, but
During a 70 minute hike yesterday there was almost no time when my 6X WHR matched the values from my wetted TickR strap. I could not check the TickR values whilst hiking, but I know the 6X was not raising heart rate for the uphill sections or lowering it as pace/ascent reduced.
2) Reset of the Heart Rate strap Sensor and check the connections inside are not bent. Take the battery out and put it in upside down for ~10sec *This seems like it won’t work but has been a popular fix. If you have a new battery, use that to rule out the chance of a low/dead battery. Check that your battery connections inside the sensor are
I have the Fenix 7 sapphire solar and noticed lately that sometimes the heartrate drops during running. Around Minute 25 it went down to 138 and I certainly had not 138 at that point. (Happened again at minute 53. Minute 35 might be, I'm not 100% sure there.) I've been running some time with this watch now and I think I know what heart rate it
As pointed out, Garmin supports three ways of heart rate: percentages of a max, percentages of a reserve (max minus resting), and precentages where 100% is at the zone4/5 transition. You can divide the percentage boundaries up any way you would like, but you can only do it using those three methods. STRESS TRACKING. CUSTOMER SERVICE. COMPANY. PLATFORMS. FOR BUSINESS. Stress is your body’s natural response to the challenges of life and environment. It is an elevated physiological state that prepares you to react quickly to whatever comes next.
You can broadcast your heart rate data from your watch and view it on paired devices. Broadcasting heart rate data decreases battery life. TIP: You can customize the activity settings to broadcast your heart rate data automatically when you begin an activity ( Activities and App Settings ) .
Firstly, I blamed my non-training period due to a cold I thought that the readings were fine but I was not going maximum from my side. Now it has been one month of training and I am convinced that the heart rate measurement are completely inaccurate during the workout. Example from today (going near to lactose threshold) WOD: 10 Rounds in 15 min The Fenix 5 broadcast HR in ANT+ and Zwift on the iPhone is Bluetooth only so you will not get the HR there using the Fenix. Also, you cannot use the Fenix to bridge ANY signal to Zwift. My guess is that since it is an older Garmin cadence sensor that it is ANT+ only. I would suggest getting a Wahoo Blue S/C since it is ANT+ and Bluetooth. funWY.
