I was wondering if it's still possible to get a copy of the ultimate collection. I know they had a code giveaway on Origin last year but I wasn't aware at the time and missed it unfortunately. Yesterday I installed The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection on two machines my new 2022 laptop windows 11 and my old 2018 windows 10 old desktop. Played the game for hours, had to reinstall the game on my window 10 machine.
The Ultimate Collection is so so much better than the Super Collection that's offered on mac. There is loads of content that you miss out on not having the extra packs. Apartment Life, and Freetime alone add so much to this game! Not to mention the Ikea furniture and HM make CAS and Build/Buy feel much more updated.

I uninstalled The Sims and rebooted again and it fixed the problems straight away. I guess that’s the effect of the incompatibility - overheating, crashing, and other apps running slowly even when The Sims isn’t open. I’m gutted because I used to love The Sims and I was excited to get back into it. Sadly that won’t be possible.
